The upcoming 2 weeks are going to be a bit crazy, we're making our first trip up to Washington with Liam and Eclair. I've already started packing and I'll just say we've got a lot to carry...
Here's what's happened this week:
Liam has discovered his voice, he's much more vocal than he has been before, not just laughing but blabbering as well. This is especially apparent when he wants our attention from his jumperoo, it's almost like he's yelling at you
He's also discovered his toes, although I don't have a great shot of that yet. He will grab at them in his tummy tub and when he's sitting on our laps.
He had his first experience in a highchair. While at Qdoba I could tell he wanted out of his car seat. Since I didn't want to have to hold him the entire time we ate, I asked Dominic to get a highchair and just stuffed the moby wrap around him. It's certainly not something he can do for a prolonged period, but for this short amount of time it worked great!
On Sunday he pooped in his bath for the first time EVER. Since he's still exclusively breastfed that made for a bit of a mess. Washing him in a tub full of yellow poop...not the best idea. We moved him back to his sink bath for the night and got him cleaned up. AGAIN. I realize when he's older he'll hate me for posting this and I don't care, it's my right as a mommy to embarrass him a little :)
A blister has developed on his left baby toe during the last week. Right now we suspect it's from all the bouncing he's doing in his jumperoo. He curls his toes under and that baby toe must just rub on the ground too much. If it keeps happening I'm going to have to put socks or baby legs on him which kills me because it's so hot here right now. The stars finally alligned and I was able to get together with Theresa and Rosie so the babies who were born just 12 days apart iin total could meet. Liliana Love is Rosie's little girl, born 8 days before Liam, and Elsie Jo is Theresa's, born 12 days before Liam. It was just fabulous to see everyone again and get to chat about parenting and birth. I sure hope it's not another 3.5 months before we're together again because I had a fabulous time.
On to the pictorial memories from the week:
This first shot is one Brooke took of him during the day. He needed an outfit change and the diaper just coordinated so well there was no need for a pair of shorts...LOVE the diaper butt and baby legs myself.
I love my sophie!
Dad's arrival home after a long day is Liam's absolute favorite thing. He just lights up and is done with mama until he's had time with daddy.
This series is total Liam. He's in a good mood 90% of the time so we see this smiley happy side quite often.

In anticipation of our trip we tried his lifejacket on for size. It says infant, but apparently they mean infants with NECKS! HAHAHA
Thanks cousin Hailee for letting me borrow your PJ's
The owie. It doesn't seem to bother him one bit.
I think he's trying to figure out how to get one of our burritos
