A European weekend

It all began with some empty space in my new office. Blanca and I needed a place to showcase our wonderful babies and shove those to-dos. A bulletin board was just too drab and Irene decided to turn the 2 we had, one large and one small, into FRENCH bulletin boards. I'm sure they're not really french, but that's the name some marketer gave them and it stuck. I happened to have several unused bulletin boards of my own under the bed stowed away for safe keeping. After a quick trip to Joanne's I put together our new boards...just lovely I think! Then, Saturday night we had an improptu dinner, our tour of ITALY. The idea for cheese, crackers, grapes and wine came after we went to O'Brien's looking for Tahini sauce. They have such a great selection of the above that we simply couldn't resist. Check out that dinner. It might not look like much but we were stuffed.
The following morning we were back in France and having crepes. Back when I was a kid we always had big pancakes, which really are slightly thick crepes. I had been craving them and Dominic had yet to perfect the recipe so we decided to just wing it with a crepe recipe....absolutely delish!

While awaiting the crepes Dominic took this trio of portraits of me and eclair

It seems like Eclair might not have had as good of a time with the portrait session as I did ;)

We did manage to get a bit of work done during our tour. The trim around the fireplace is afixed

The trim got nailed up.

I got flowers :)

Our wedding picture was hungbut we still cannot find the trim for this section....HELP!

The Valentines decor was brought out. This one is big folks, I haven't been able to decorate since Thanksgiving thanks to all the construction at our place.

And the laundry got done of course. This was Eclair's hang out Sunday and today as she is forbidden from being on the bed at this point in time. Why do you ask? Her less than mature behavior of course.

finally finishing the floors: Trim

We have postponed the final piece of the flooring for far too long. The holidays and travel have made it impossible to tackle the trim until now...last weekend we cut everything and this weekend we painted and installed it all!!! The most exciting part of this whole thing? I get to put this house back together! I can't wait to get everything organized and sorted through.

It was absolutely gorgeous this weekend and eclair was sure enjoying herself in 'her spot'

look at her little pillow of mulch

Here I am with my Wii

We had a little time left and made it to the Restoration sale in Tracy...these lovely chairs were certainly worth the price tag....LOVE THEM (they're teak and I need to learn how to care for them soon)

Thought this was a nice way to show the scale of them

#1 and only item, Please my wife :)

Belsky Wedding, 1/3/09 Las Vegas

When in Vegas you don't spend your time in your room....so upon arriving we quickly got dressed and headed out.

I would say this is the before shot...but we're old and married and the after wouldn't look much different at this point in our lives
Destination, VooDoo lounge at the Rio, this was after the Buffet at the Rio (sorry no picture). This buffet is 1/2 a mile long folks and we enjoyed all 1/2 mile, heals and all!

Tom was lovin the camera the whole trip (it's new and he got it just for this occassion)

The Club is way up on top of the Rio and you have this spectacular view of the strip...this is from OUTSIDE.

Tom, Matt and Dominic
The happy couple the night before the big event

That short one on the right startled me, the carpets were dark and I just didn't see him. Apparently he has a trick, only one though, and that involves balancing his drink on his head, everyone wanted to try it out.

Rock on!
Tom, Dominic and David

After some well needed rest we all met up for breakfast on the morning of the wedding...can you see me??
Then it was on to the wedding, the chaple was beautiful

Hunny, did you eat something that wasn't too good??? Why that gross look?
ME
Mike and Tom, Mike didn't get much rest that weekend and was quite exhausted by the time he flew home but it certainly provided some nice entertainment ;)
David and his mom. For reference he is 6'7" and his mom is about 5'4"

waiting on his beautiful bride
all ready to tie the knot

Man and Wife!
There we are, looking quite nice if I don't say so myself

A quick round of shots....

and a proud married David (nice ring)

And we're off to the Reception

The Eiffel Tower restaurant is up in the Tower itself

Us with the Bride and Groom

Cornell shot (there is one of these at every wedding)
We had a blast, the toasting was abundant and made for some great laughs, the food was delish and the friends were amazing too!

Speaking of toasting

Can't be newlyweds and not have some kissing going on
The weekend was whirlwind and planned quickly but it tured out exactly like everyone would have expected, phenominal! We've been back for just about a week now and it's just finally sinking in, who's going to be next??
