39 weeks

Firsts:
This week we passed the inside/outside threshold.  Basically that means that Liam is now an outside baby for longer than he was an inside baby.  He was born when I was 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant but technically I wasn't actually pregnant for the first 2wks of that count.  After he passed 38 weeks and 2 days old, which
happened on Tuesday, he will always have been 'outside' longer than he was 'inside'.

6th tooth!  The upper left central incisor came in on Saturday.  I'm hoping we'll get a month or two reprieve from teething before it starts up again.

First time getting bit by another child.  We were at the InShape Saturday and as usual Liam went to the childcare center.  He was there maybe 40 minutes and when we went to pick him up the lady said there had been an 'incident'  Some other child bit him, the manager had spoken to their parent and that was it.  You can see the fall out in the pictures, it appears he was actually bitten twice.  I'm not too worried since he's bitten us several times and loves to pull hair, I figure he had it coming.  Certainly he's going to repay the favor at some point in the future.

Day to day stuff

Liam has had very popping joints since day one, I think it may be the first thing I asked Dr. Daley about at his regular visits. After asking Dominic I'm pretty certain that this comes from the Jensen side. We all seem to be pretty flexible and have rather loose joints....Dominic, not so much. Anyway, Dr Daley confirmed it's normal way back then and it hasn't gone away yet. When we pick him up you can usually feel his shoulders kind of give and 'pop'.

Black Beans are his current FAVORITE food. He doesn't just like them, he LOVES them. We can't give him the beans until he's had time with the rest of his meal choices because he'll just avoid the other options and eat beans.

Like most kids, Liam loves the dishwasher.  I'm sure you remember the picture of him standing on the door, while this week he actually helped unload the silverware!  I can't wait to have a little helper around the house.  Wonder how long before I can teach him to clean bathrooms???

Christmas PJ's have been in full effect all month and this week we're going to highlight them all!  Here's the first pair for your viewing pleasure.

On that note, we made sugar cookies for frosting later this week.  Liam sat and watched and had a great time, although I'm sure he would have been happier if we let him taste one.

See my bite??

More teeth, six in total now
 who me??
 Got anymore black beans mom??
 Rolling out the cookie dough
I've been good Santa, I promise

A hilarious video of Eclair getting treats, she gets broccoli stalk pieces, and Liam's reaction it.

3 months

3 months ago today Liam entered our lives and they were forever changed...we didn't even understand how changed they were in that moment...but they were. Here are the zero, one and two month shots to remind you where he's come from:

And here are today's:

the post wouldn't be complete without bloopers:

This next progression is hilarious to me..baby sneezes

Current stats:
he's in a 6 month onesie.
weight: 15 1/2 pounds!!!!
height 24 1/2 inches!!!
He's HUGE!  Dr. Daley said his 10m old is about that weight.
The WHO breastfed boys growth chart puts his weight at about 80th percentile and weight-for-length at about 85th percentile

5 weeks

Since last week Liam has had some big changes, the biggest being meeting his auntie Cindy!  They've hit it off incredibly well and I'm sure that if she could, Cindy would find a way to smuggle him back to Washington with her.  Heck all the grandparents would love it if she did and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a huge conspiracy going on behind our backs as I type this :)  Since she's been here Cindy has rocked little man to sleep every night except tonight, has stolen about 4 million kisses, and changed more than her share of diapers.  She even babysat for a few hours today so I could get a massage and haircut, I haven't enjoyed either in months so this was much appreciated!

In other news, Liam is smiling even more than before and he reserves the biggest grins for his daddy.  They have a bit of a tumultous relationship right now since Liam is refusing to allow his dad to soothe him.  I tried explaining to him that his daddy loves him and it's ok to let someone other than mom and auntie to help him calm down, but he's just not having it.  Guess those grins are helping keep keep Dominic from feeling too sad because he still comes home at lunch to hang out with us for an hour or so.

We tried out his Bumbo this week too.  He was certainly able to sit up on his own in the seat but was pooped out within a few minutes and got upset with us.  I think we'll keep trying for shorter periods over the next week or so and he'll be able to sit with us through dinner pretty soon.

We finally got Liam's birth announcements ordered today.  I looked a ton on etsy and finally settled on seller announcingyou.  I don't want to spoil the surprise for everyone so I'll post the final after I get them sent out and they've arrived.  Luckily I have the 150+ address labels printed and ready to go so I just need to stuff a few envelopes and we're set.

Here is a shot of the little guy to tide you over:

we have a COMPLETED nursery (for the most part)

Lets start from the beginning, I had very few ideas about the nursery until I got pregnant and started doing some looking into options.  I'm not really into extremely 'baby' looking decor, you know the winnie the pooh crap.  I intially thought just making the bedding would be easiest and I certainly have the means, ie mom and cindy, to make it feasable.  My wonderful mother suggested just purchasing something and we could always rework them as necessary, I think she's regretting that now but oh well :)  I did find something unisex that I liked so we went with it.  The two things that needed to be reworked were the crib skirt, I insist it always just skims the ground and never hangs way above it, and the skirt for the changing table (which is actually our old desk).  I didn't have another place to put the desk and the size is much more substancial than a typical changing table so I figured by covering the bottom I could add storage and minimize the items we needed to purchase.  Importantly, that skirt must also skim the ground.  We accomplished the skirt thing two ways, the table was easy, it doesn't move.  We just used some velcro and made it to length, check!  The crib, not so simple.  It's on the highest setting now, so the skirt is as long as it will ever need to be and will move down as G begins to stand, climb etc.  We thought of a ton of methods and actually ended up going with a combo, velcro for the sides for now and safety pins for the front always and the sides later.  There is a full panel which is tied to the back of the crib that the panels are pinned too, which makes it able to adjust to ANY level.  LOVE IT!  THANKS MOM!

Alright, on to the pictures:

What's left to do?
I think I'm going to switch the animal basket for the green with dots because you can't see the animals the way it's set up, thoughts?
I need to do something over the crib but don't have any ideas or inspiration, suggestions?
We are going to switch out the basic knobs on the dresser for g's birthday once we know what it is.
I'm going to either recover the lamp shades or get one with more basic colors, since this one clashes with the decor.

Before they left grandma and grandpa got G a pair, actually 2 but who's counting, of Jordans.  Dominic was thrilled to say the least

And the new couch got delivered today too!
