15 weeks

Liam is doing fabulous this week.  He's become much more interested in Eclair, often turning his head completely to see what she's doing.  He has even grabbed for her a few times, although this isn't consistant yet.  With toys, he's much better at getting what he's grabbing at and even directing it into his mouth, including Sophie and Jerry (these are his two favorite toys, both giraffes).  I must say the most consistant and cute developement is grabbing and holding onto his ears.  I know this can be a sign of an ear infection and we had that checked when he was in at 3m but his ears were clear.  Dr Daley confirmed it's just that he's 'found his ears'

Here's him with Sophie

We had to get a shorter book since he was really needing to bend his legs to use the original one we had down.

Baby blanket in the works, obviously at a very early stage
Here's the ear thing I was talking about
Please notice all the baby acoutremonts
Liam LOVES it when daddy gets home and spoils him with kisses and time just hanging out on the bed
Proof that everything goes in his mouth, and that his mouth can hold quite a bit.
If this isn't the worlds happiest baby I'm not sure what is
He's been working hard on tummy time and is getting some pretty strong neck muscles
Here's a glimpse of what I'm doing when little man goes down for a nap...please notice Eclair has followed my lead

We are really getting into a routine around here with a morning nap around 8-9, another from 12 until about 2-3 and then a third and final nap between 4-6. At night he's sleeping from 8-3 when he gets up to eat...and boy does he eat. He's ferocious. I can't imagine he'll be dropping that feeding for a while but I'm hoping he continues to move it back a little at a time.

Since Liam is so interested in reaching for things and people in general we have started eating at the table more and Liam sits in his Bumbo and watches.  The other day I put out his utensils for him to play with, he wasn't too interested in them yet but I figure if he doesn't have an opportunity then I'm not really allowing him to grow!

The 4th of July was over the last week, too.  Unfortunately I can't say Liam did a bunch of fun stuff since I was on call.  We stayed close to home and BBQ'd tri tip while chanting USA, USA...ok that last part isn't really true but you get what I mean.  Liam wore his adorable tommy hilfiger outfit and being the ridiculous parent that I am I didn't even snap a picture of him in it...next year buddy we'll do better...maybe dad will even let you hold a sparkler :)
