The month anniversary falls on his week anniversary this time so my post will just have to be doubly big! First up the weekly info:
Liam is just making more strides in his learning and development every day.
He's still pulling up and shuffling around like a pro but is now starting to hold on just one handed and reach out for other objects that are farther away.
He continues to be enthralled with other children and animals, sitting and watching them as well as interacting with them by smiling and laughing at them as well as pulling hair and even biting from time to time.
He has started dancing to music on his toys and will bop up and down for a few seconds just smiling away so proud of himself.
He's become quite the mama's boy and can become extremely needy and clingy as soon as he hears someone sas mama or he sees me after I've been gone for a while. At the same time, there is still nobody that gets a bigger smile than daddy. I guess he knows who his main food source is and who feeds her ;)
We're still breastfeeding 6 or so times a day but have really begun introducing more foods into his routine, I completely violated some rules and gave a few bites of shrimp today!!! bad mama!! At least he really liked it.
Getting much better at that pincher grasp which means he's better able to get those little bites of food (or not so little!) to his mouth without dropping them so often
I think his bathes/showers might be up there on his favorite activities list. Most days I'll take him in the shower with me after he eats breakfast and then he'll have a bath after dinner. Sure makes after meal clean up a breeze and gets him nice and toasty warm with the added bonus of built in playtime
He's had his first extended time away from daddy, almost 5 days
First time seeing/feeling snow
First time seeing a Christmas tree, we put the tree up at the Jensen's when grandma had a snow day from work.
First time sneaking food, Hailee was eating an icecream sandwich and he reached right up and grabbed some from the bottom part of hers, she didn't realize it until she finished her bite and looked down to see him snarfing away on the bit he grabbed, proclaming "Liam stole my icecream, I didn't give it to him!", while looking quite upset. She has been told several times that he's still on a limited diet and she needs to ask before giving him things.
First soccer game, we didn't stay for long because it was downright frigid and Nana insisted we get inside before an appendage froze off.
Liam LOVES his family. Even though we're not able to be up in Washington as much as we would like he just seems to adore being here and falls right into playing with everyone from auties to grandparents, cousins to greatcousins and everyone in between.
Looking forward to Thanksgiving this week and even more special time with family and friends
