Firsts:

Cold :(  Liam got a stuffy nose and has been quite clingy and miserable for the majority of the week.  I got out the humidifier and we've given him Tylenol and Vicks which really helped.

First time opening cupboards

Halloween!!!  I aquired quite a few outfits for Liam before he was even born to celebrate holidays and Halloween is the first big one we've had.  He didn't disappoint and was dressed in orange and black or costumes for the entire week before the 31st.  Here's a collection of some of them:

*we've saved trick or treating for next year because little man can't eat the candy and mom and dad sure don't need it

First pumpkin carving, he was more interested in eating the top.  Dominic did a phenominal carving job and I think the single bottom tooth was a good nod to Liam's new teeth, yes it's plural now!!

Second tooth (it's the bottom left incisor and it came in on Saturday), here's a great picture of tooth #1, #2 is just peaking through and it's hard to catch a good shot still.  A third is working its way out, a canine on the left, but I suspect it's going to take a while
No Halloween is complete without a hayride!  I think this might actually have been MY first hayride too...mom, can you confirm that??  We had a blast at the Heinrich's enjoying great company, good food and lots of kids

For as busy as we've been I don't feel like we got too much done this last week, guess that's what happens when you have a little Liam crawling around ;)

Firsts:

First contact dermatitis, at least I think that's what it was because he certainly didn't hit his eye on anything.

First time brushing his tooth! He has one right now and is working on the second as we speak. He LOVES the baby toothbrush but has yet to taste any toothpaste since I guess I never got any baby stuff, ie without fluoride so it's ok to swallow, before he was born. I'll work on that this week.

Here's what we did in pictures this week:
babywearing, moby style.  We still love the moby most for front carry but we use the ergo for back carries

Teething is easier with the vibrating blueberry
What Liam does all day while I play with pregnant ladies, thanks Brooke!

A playdate with the Heinrich girls

This was such a lovely place to take pictures, except Liam was eating everything in site and wouldn't sit still.  We resorted to this!  Please note Miss Elsie Jo just sitting patiently while we corral him

A second birthday party for Preston, or people/baby watching for Liam

7 months

So I'm late with this post but I truly thought today was the 23rd!  When I was getting all my ads and coupons together I slid over the the time to check the date and went WHAT!  It can't be the 24th, it's the 23rd...but Nope, I missed it by a day.  In my defense I asked Dominic what day it was and he thought it was the 23rd too :)

What's new since our last post??? a TOOTH!  Liam got his first one, the bottom right incisior, on Tuesday the 19th.  I think the left will follow shortly.  Certainly this is going to make eating a much easier experience.

On the topic of eating. we're still sticking with the baby led weaning method and just started giving him a sippy cup with his food this weekend.  We've tried the sippy a few other times but he didn't quite get the hang of it.  We've gotten the take n toss on a suggestion that they are easier to get the water out and therefore he can grasp the whole drinking from a cup concept a bit quicker than having to stumble upon the fact that sucking gets him a drink.  Guess we'll see if it works.

I was completely unsucessful at getting a chair shot of Liam...I'll try again tomorrow but here are the outakes, after the reminder shots:

The single decent picture from our second 7 month shoot

here's the outtakes from our attempted 'session' this last weekend...epic fail!  This boy is way too mobile for low light and no flash
