Andrews-Moes wedding weekend in Green Bay, WI

Touching down in WI and I'm excited to cross another state off my "been there, done that" list. We headed up to Green Bay, here's Dominic enjoying the drive He was excited about Sheboygan, who knows :)

This next shot is what I imagine most people think of Wisconsin: dairy farm

Rehearsal dinner at sunset, some amazing photos.
Bryan didn't get in until the rehearsal and I took the opportunity to get a photo.

Check out the cake, this is the one from the rehearsal. Mary Ann did a great job picking it out.

O'dea boys, three years worth. Jeff, Mark, Dominic, Bryan, Nick, and soon to be married Jim
The brothers, Nick, Jim, and Geoff

A few more shots on the deck after sunset.

Of course, the night can't end at dessert, we headed to a bar just behind the hotel and practiced for the reception
These are suppose to be shots, only they're about as small as a robitussin cup, ridiculous.

The couple on their last night as singles, aren't they just adorable.
While the ladies got ready the boys headed to lambeau field, and I tagged along.

Leave it to Bryan to wear a Farve Jets jersey to Lambeau

This is a 6X, it's a dress on my 6'6" hubby.
Bryan wouldn't be left out, trying on the old style helmets

Dominic wants to be 'that coach'

After some primping of our own it was wedding time. The boys laid out the runner for the bride and we were off.

Lets get to the party!! Ummm, Bennett, I think you're a little underage, this is WI and all but still.

He wouldn't take no for an answer

Must be Nick's boy for sure.

Pretty little cake that was just the most delish fondant cake I've ever had.

not lookin too bad.

Dancing the night away.
Mother son dance.

a little bouquet toss

and of course Jim got in a little fondling early with the garter toss.

It's past my bedtime

The centerpieces used the next day at the open house, GORGEOUS!

more possibilities

Choosing a shoe is not my stong suit

Here is the dress I'm planning to wear for the weekend, I THINK (I guess making clothing decisions isn't my strong suit) Some shoe options I came home with. Not sure what I was thinking with 2 and 4, they don't match and were vetoed ASAP

Here's 4, a grey shoe that has quite the heal, I'm at least 5'10" here, but please remember my hubby is 6'6" I LOVE THAT

and 1, the lighter color just stands out to me, does it stand out too much?? I've not really been a fan of the t-strap either and I don't think I'm starting to become one now....

Thoughts?

something blue

Another score at restoration hardware. I really want a few ottomans but on friday they were still a ridiculous $315 so that was a no go. Instead I got two new sets of colorful cushions for our chairs, regularly $345 each, purchased for $60 total! LOVE the sale and cannot understand why anyone would pay full price for outdoor cushions. The day didn't stop there, Vanessa is getting married in June and her shower/bachelorette party was great. Check out a few of the web appropriate shots: Vanessa is the first TP bride.

Fight like a girl

a wonderful new song I discovered on my way home for a semi-successful restoration hardware sale.

Little girl alone on the playground
Tired of gettin' teased and gettin' pushed around
Wishin' she was invisible
To them

She ran home cryin'
"Why do they hate me?"
And Mama wiped the tears and said
"Baby, you're brave and you're beautiful.

So, hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight Like a girl."

At 31 she was wheelin' and dealin'
Kept on hittin' that same glass ceilin'
She was never gonna be one of the boys, no
She coulda gave up on her ambition
And spent the rest of her life just wishin'
Instead she listened to her mama's voice sayin'

"Hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight Like a girl."

Oh, with style and grace
Kick ass and take names
Ten years of climbin' that ladder
Oh, but money and power don't matter
When the doctor said "the cancer spread"
She holds on tight to her husband and babies
And says "this is just another test God gave me.
And I know just how to handle this"

I'll hold my head high
I'll never let this define
The light in my eyes
Love myself, give it
Hell I'll take on this world
If I stand and be strong
No, I'll never give up
I will conquer with love And I'll fight Like a girl

a lazy puppy and a Silver anniversary

With the nice weather we've been having lately we decided to go for a walk and take the pup, especially since we've given her the nickname tubs, short for tubby. Check out that video at the end. She's done this since the first time we walked her, truth be told she hates walks and runs when we get out the leash.
After such a nice walk we had some yummy ribs and homemade pasta salad
Then the next weekend it was on to the party at the Currie's. Their silver. Somehow we managed not to get a pic of the couple, but we did manage one of us

And the Zank's, the one with the great kitchen remodel from awhile back
