Yosemite

In trying to make the most of our relaxing weekend we decided to FINALLY make it out to Yosemite National Park and nature did not disapppoint...check out these amazing views on the way to the visitor center

Do you see that little peak there in the middle??? That's half dome and you can actually HIKE it...wow! it takes between 10-12 hrs and the last bit is ACROSS that dome! I would certainly need some training before attempting that one!
This up close view allows you to see just how massive a rock this puppy is
We're pretty sure this is El Capitan...again WOW
At the visitor center we decided to do the leisurely hike to the 'falls' so the pup could come along...I put it like that because the falls are dry right now. They are fed by the snow which as you could guess with our weather is well past melting at this point....if you look on the rock in the next shot you can see the stain where it should be just to the right of center
Eclair and I found this little teepee and had to get a shot of it

Here is where the run off from the falls would be...those are HUMONGOUS rocks people, just massive

How cute guys

This is a sign to remind every one to STAY ON THE MARKED TRAIL! there were so many families and foreigners just all over the place without any regard at all. The vegitation just can't take it so try and minimize your impact and get your tush on the marked trail or GO HOME

Half dome again
Look at that knot on the tree, ouchy
It's been quite a while since Elcair went 1.5miles and she was exhausted when we got back to the car...she was a limp noodle and even refused to eat until we got home
Yeah, I'm a little out of it myself after that walk..guess I need to get out and exercise again
